Round #2 tomorrow I'm scheduled for my second round of chemo tomorrow. Hopefully today's blood work came out OK; I feel like I have a little cold, and hopefully that hasn't impacted my white blood cell count, or they will postpone my treatment.

Yesterday, I asked the doctor for better anti-nausea medication. The one I took last time was effective very quickly, but it wore off pretty fast and made me very sleepy. He said OK and told me that the new drug requires a pre-authorization from the insurance company. My insurance company approved the request, but for 9 pills only! I only need to take a couple a day, so I'm sure I'm covered, but still, I was amazed that the medicine is that expensive.

Tomorrow is the day that we'll tell Dinah and Djuna about the cancer. I'm actually more nervous about that than the chemo itself. But, we have gotten excellent advice about how to handle it all, and I know it will be OK. I just wish my family didn't have to go through all this. Dwayne keeps telling me that I shouldn't think of it like that, but it's hard not to, sometimes.

"Going public" at school was not nearly as difficult as I anticipated. Everyone has been so kind, offering hugs, notes, jokes, prayers, thoughts, all kinds of good energy. I'm very grateful.

It's all good.
